Ok, this time it's for real-
I didn't realize that people actually enjoyed reading this blog! That makes me happy, and I like being happy, so I will try to update you on all of the goings on at Robin Way.
It's been a pretty involved year, and a heavy summer-
But I have learned so much.
More to come

Spaghetti and marshmallows

(not our towers, but you get the idea, right?)
One of my classes at school is a Group Dynamics course, which explores all of the interpersonal workings, roles and issues that exist or could potentially present during a group therapy session. It is a very interesting class, and made me realize that this is an area I could be working in the future.
We had an activity today where our group was given ten pieces of dried spaghetti noodles and four large marshmallows. Our only restriction was we had to build a "structure", using only these materials. After collaboration and brainstorming, we created a little teepee looking building, complete with an edible flag and marshmallow foundation. I know, a picture would enhance this description so vividly, but I failed to take one.
Why am I describing this? It just reinforced the fact that you can make almost anything out of marshmallows. Damn, they're better than cement or glue! Also, the collective creativity of a team and 9 other brilliant people doesn't hurt either.

Wow, it's 2007
(snowflakes in Arizona)
Happy New Year!!!
Did you think I fell off of the face of the earth?
Nope, just school seemed to devour all of me during the last part of 2006.
But this year promises to be full of new experiences, better enhanced with medication!
I always fought against the idea of needing something, of having something fog my thoughts, clarity or original ideas,
but then I realized, it's still me-
Just the background noise is gone.
I was diagnosed with "General Anxiety Disorder with mild depression..."
In other words, I get grouchy, I'm afraid the sky is falling, and I worry about EVERYTHING. I guess that's where the depression comes in when you always think something is going wrong.
Why am I disclosing this?
Because, why go through life with a problem when you don't need to.
Anyway, life is good- the family is great, and I'm looking forward to keeping current.
